Bloodline: (Half, Pure, Muggle) Half-Blood. Her father, Douglas Rothberg, is a pureblood. Her mother, Sarah Katz Rothberg, is a muggleborn.

Heritage: (Scottish, Irish, etc)Her mom is from Russia. She lived there until she was 15. Her dad’s family has descended from the Motherland but has lived in England for at least two generations. Both families, the Katzes and the Rothbergs, are quite Jewish and actively participate in the religion.

Personal History: Delilah, and her fraternal twin, David, were born in London, England and haven’t moved since. Their parents, Sarah Katz Rothberg and Douglas Rothberg, found London to be charming and rather convenient. Not only was the flat they found at an amazing price but it was in a very lovely area. Douglas got a job as a member of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad and Sarah began to work in an office for a paper factory as a secretary.

Douglas, 39, attended Hogwarts as a Ravenclaw. He comes from a long line of purebloods but by no means are they extremely well-known or even wealthy. His mother, Robin, is the head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures at the Ministry of Magic in England.

Sarah, 37, is a muggleborn from Russia. She lived in the Motherland up until she was set to begin her wizard school. Her father, Marvin, had been offered a job in Jolly Ole England and it was better than what they had in Russia. She was afraid there wasn't a wizarding school in England but luckily for her, there was and she began to attend Hogwarts as a 1st year. She was sorted into Hufflepuff. It was at Hogwarts during her 5th year that she met Doug through a mutual friend. They were really good friends until Sarah’s 7th year. Doug has been out of school for a year and a half when he decided Sarah was it for him. And the rest is history, as they say!

Delilah, and subsequently David, spent their youth at a private Jewish day school. In the afternoon they’d stay with their neighbor, Albert. Albert was a teenager who also attended the day school and would watch them until Sarah and Doug came home in the evening. Spending most of her day (and pretty much all days of the year) with boys had an effect on Delilah. She decided early on she liked boys much more than girls but it wasn’t until her fourth year when her best girl friend decided Delilah wasn’t her friend anymore that she decided girls were not good friend material.

When the twins were 11 and set to begin Hogwarts, Albert was told they’d be attending a year-round boarding school in Scotland and that his services were no longer needed. It was good timing for all as Albert had just finished university and was moving to America for job opportunities. The last time Delilah saw Albert was when they came home for the holidays in their first year.

At Hogwarts, David and Delilah were sorted into the same house, Gryffindor. They definitely felt like they belonged in the house properly and made friends right away. As well, they still are best friends. During their second year, they were pulled out for a short time at the end of November. They had their Bar and Bat Mitzvah. After her fourth year, Delilah began to take medicine to calm down her anxiousness.

Personality: Delilah is most definitely the outgoing, bold stereotype of Gryffindor. She steers clear of seriousness in front of others, especially boys (she sees it as being weak and boys do not accept weakness). She also finds girls to be far too serious anyways. Delilah also adores attention. She knows that acting out is annoying to others and is seriously trying to curb her appetite for the spotlight. She’s also admitted to herself how hypocritical she can be. Although she has flaws, Delilah tries to work them out of her system and improve herself. She tends to be vain but not so much about her appearance but about everyone else’s. Sometimes she’s sarcastic but most of the time bites her tongue because she doesn’t want to seem malicious. Delilah is also very anxious. She’s always been kind of bouncy but it progressed so far that she couldn’t get to bed without some kind of aid to lull her into sleep. She now takes medicine for it but sometimes forgets. It happens.

Physical Description: (include hair color, eye color, height, weight, and build at the VERY least) Delilah is about 5’10” (less than an inch shorter than her brother) and about 150 pounds, take or give a few. She’s rather average. She’s got a round face with chubby cheeks. She has long, brown hair that’s a few inches past her shoulders. It’s shade of brown changes with the seasons but for the most part is a rich chestnut brown. She has light blue eyes and rather pale skin. Not sickly or pasty pale, but a nice “avoidance of the sun” pale.

If this is your first character: Please give us a sample RP, at least one paragraph in length. Delilah tossed. Delilah turned. Delilah listened to the crickets chirp, the owls hoot and the wind rustle the trees. She heard the silence that follows these sounds that only comes in the dead of night until finally, she heard the sounds of the morning. When a roommate emerged from the shower, Delilah decided it was time to “wake up”. She pulled away her curtains while simultaneously expressing a hearty good morning to her roommate.
“Ready for you exam?” her roommate asked curiously.
“Of course! After all of that studying and a good night’s rest, how could I not be?”

Hobbies and talents - max of five: 1. Delilah loves ice skating. She’s not bad but she’s no Michelle Kwan. She’s never taken a lesson and doesn’t really plan to. She just enjoys skating during the winter.
2. Delilah can speak and read Russian and Hebrew. Her mother can never decide if she’s speaking English or Russian and switches back and forth quite often. But, Delilah doesn’t really tell anyone about it. She hates when people ask her to say something for them.
3. Delilah plays the piano. This is her 12th year of piano lessons and she has become quite proficient at playing and reading music. She wants to try her hand at composing music one day.

Weaknesses - for every hobby or talent, the character must have two weaknesses: Delilah is vain and can be (but not all of the time) harshly judgemental. She can also be extremely hypocritical. She’s kind of always confused why she always does what she hates. Typical teenager. She’s also scared of letting people get close to her or having any kind of commitment. She is surprised she’s stuck with piano for so long, considering how much she hates sticking to one thing. She’s a firm believer in the philosophy that you can’t lose what you don’t have. She’s also very stubborn, but not to the point of ignorance.

Best subjects - max of three: Transfiguration and Arithmancy. She’s always been strong in math and logic.
Worst subjects - no max: History of Magic and Astronomy. She just doesn’t care for either subject.

Broom: (Nimbus 2001's and Firebolts by permission only!) N/A She doesn’t fancy flying like she used to. So she gave her old broom to her brother who has probably dashed it somewhere.
